Our Rear planet is completely disassembled. The hour glass pins are replaced with tool steels threw hardened pins, New departure needle bearings and Hi thrust load washers. Then the unit is welded together. This makes for a very rigid planet that will resist thrust twist and abnormal thrust wear. Don't be fooled by the guys who use the stock hour glass pins staked with new washers. Most of those units have worn pins they pass off as rebuilt. The staking of the pin does nothing to increase the strength. Wonder why our units take the power year after year? This is just one reason.
